Football Season!

Go Devils! Go Coyotes! GO TOROS!! We cheered for quite a few football games this season for ASU Sun Devils, Campo Verde Coyotes, and the Mountain View TOROS. Alex got to cheer with other pom and cheer alumni at the 2017 Homecoming Game!

We sure love this fall season of the year and the great football that comes with it!

Family Reunion @Aspen Grove

In June we packed up and headed to the Provo Canyon for a family reunion at Aspen Grove. It had been 9 years since the last Ludlow family reunion, and it was a blast! We had a fantastic time doing recreational things we hadn't done before like a ropes course, painting and prowing pottery, wood pen turing, and more. We even enjoyed some religion classes! All thanks to the camp taking our boys during the day (even William!)

And because it wouldn't quite be  Ludlow family reunion without the Ludlow brothers dancing, here's a gif of the occasion! (You're welcome)

Johnson Boys 2017

Just thought we'd drop a recent picture of our boys right here!

New Year and Stake Conference

January is always an exciting time for our stake. We have the opportunity to gather together as Christians in the Tempe area and hear uplifting messages focused on Christ and His example.

This year we were privileged to host Karl and Holly Tilleman. It was a special honor for Marc, who was set apart as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by Karl Tilleman just over ten years ago.

Family Christmas Picture

2017 has been quite the year for our family! We wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas season and a very happy New Year!

2017

Welcome, William Alexander!

I was pretty comfortable in mommy's tummy, but I guess it was a good thing I was ousted- I was 8 lbs 9 oz when I was born! Mommy's biggest yet!

Just like my big brothers, I have a pretty big name for a little person!

William: after William Jordan Flake, William Derby Johnson, William McBrice, and William Taylor (all Great Grandfathers), and William Wilberforce (one of daddy's heroes).

Alexander: after my mother, Alexandria

I am so excited to have two big brothers to play and wrestle with, and already am surrounded by loving family!

Our First ER Trip

On May 7th, 2017,  our little James gave us a pretty good scare. We were at a family event when James came in crying from what we supposed was a smashed finger. He was more upset than normal, and when his body began to show effects of eye twitching, and tensing up, we became suspicious of a scorpion sting and immediately took him to the hospital.

It was a scary ride with Alex holding his little body as he began wheezing  foaming. I will never forget the image of watching my wife carry our little boy in her arms running ahead into the emergency room yelling "scorpion sting"!
We are so grateful for the team at Chandler Regional Hospital who immediately sprung into action! In minutes, James was receiving the Anti-Venom via IV. Within an hour many of his symptoms had subsided, and then with an additional dose, our James was back to normal.
James is himself again (but he does have some extra zest since the event). We ended the evening with a healthy helping of James's favorite, mint chocolate chip ice cream.
We are so grateful for the miracle of modern medicine.

We're Moving!

Seems a little sudden to you, too? You're in good company! Around last October, we both had the feeling that we ought to prepare our family to move. So we began researching homes in the North Tempe area.

We came up with something of a wish list: a home office so Marc could have more meetings at home, a bigger backyard so the boys could have a little more room to stretch their ever-growing legs, and preferably close to an elementary school/park.

Over the course of the next few months of exhausting Zillow and even placing offers on a couple homes, we walked through a kinda quirky home right in our own neighborhood. We loved the potential with vaulted ceilings, larger back and side yards, and of course we love our neighborhood! So we placed an offer on the home and closed a week before Alex's due date with Boy #3! The day after closing, a dumpster was dropped and the renovation began!

'After' pictures to come!

HBD, Charlie!

The last four years have flown by, it seems, since Charlie entered our family. We have been beyond blessed by his addition to our family, though. He helps us grow into the roles of parenthood with remarkable patience and love. We are so grateful for the joy he exudes and shares with those around him.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween 2017 was so much fun! We dressed up as characters from the children's show, "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood", a remake of the classic "Mr. Rogers Neighborhood" We were Mom and Dad Tiger, Charlie was Daniel Tiger, James was Prince Wednesday, and William was our little O the Owl!
